Welcome to Smith Brothers China!
We are a china replacement company located in beautiful Portland, Oregon. Founded by Dave and Steve Smith over 25 years ago, we provide quality china to our customers from some of the world's finest manufacturers. We have a very large inventory which is filled with many hard to find items.
HISTORY:
Growing up in Portland, one of our earliest memories was eating dinner at our aunts' house. Margaret and Emily Smith were identical twins who never married and lived in the same house in north Portland since 1918. Many a Sunday and holiday dinner were spent there. As young kids, we were always asking to eat off of the “bug plates” which we subsequently learned was Spode Shanghai. Shanghai is a beautiful pattern with ladybugs and butterflies painted on white bone china. That was the start of a love and admiration of fine china. We have taken that passion and created one of the largest china replacement businesses in the United States.
When we started, we specializing in Spode china but quickly expanded to include other English companies. In addition to Spode, we carry Aynsley, Coalport, Adderly, Minton, Royal Albert, Royal Crown Derby, Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, Wedgwood and others. We also carry quality American companies such as Lenox, Castleton, Pickard, Franciscan, Flintridge, Syracuse and Gorham. Other companies in our inventory are Royal Copenhagen, Bing and Grondahl, Mikasa, Noritake, Haviland, and Rosenthal. We carry a large selection of Christmas patterns from Spode, Lenox, Salem China and Nikko. We also carry figurines from Royal Doulton, Spode, Coalport and Hummel. Our inventory is always changing as we acquire new merchandise.
